Our strong interest in all areas of the production life cycle, coupled with a passion for producing a premium product, has led to the creation of Clayhill Beef.
Our cattle roam 1000 acres of open grazing land, featuring highly productive flat country and some harder hillier country, giving our cows some added exercise. Our pastures range from predominantly Kikuyu and White Clover, through to native grasses.
We tend to over sow Rye into our Kikuyu pasture in late autumn and are continuing to introduce additional grasses and legumes such as Clovers and Chicory to increase biodiversity.
Clayhill Beef does not use added hormones or antibiotics on any animal supplied. We apply a clean methodology which is free of synthetic fertilisers and sprays to the management of our land.
With stress free cattle handling practices and clean, green paddocks, we hope to produce a premium, local product.
